CLT PRE-FAB HOME - 30 FOOT

This pre-fabricated home designed to sit on a thirty-foot lot is constructed using pre-manufactured walls composed of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) panels as its structure and alternatively, Cross Laminated Insulated Panels  (CLIPs) produced by Element5. CLT and CLIPs are mass-timber-engineered wood products that serve as both structure and finish. for CLT, the panels are composed of lamellas cross-oriented to provide rigidity, stability, and strength. CLIPs use traditional wood framing but rely on thin (±1”) CLT on each side as a combined sheathing and finish. Both pre-manufactured panels create a level of unparalleled quality control and systems integration:

1. As they are manufactured in a controlled environment, electrical and mechanical systems can be embedded in the floor and wall constructions prior to assembly. This reduces waste and increases efficiency.

2. Assembly can be done within days or weeks, depending on the level of complexity.

3. The strength and durability of CLT and CLIPs foster a product that is longer lasting than traditional light wood frame construction.
